About the Photographer and Author
Sonya Cogan holds a master’s degree in business & human relations, a bachelor’s degree in studio art, and an associate’s degree in photography. She has worked in television advertising production and for non-profits. She's a long time still photographer, and new children's book author. She loves the outdoors, animals, horseback riding, camping, traveling, and museums. I've traveled to 15 countries and hope to travel to 15 more!
Her favorite children's books include Springer's Journey, Mole Had Everything, The Little House, and Horseplay. Her all time favorite book is Jennifer's Walk.

Jenna Murray Patterson holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in fine arts. She is a full-time artist and children’s book illustrator.
Her favorite hobbies include drawing, painting, hiking, camping, and reading. She loves spending time with her family.
Her favorite children's books include Black Beauty, Stuart Little, Hank the Cowdog, and The Chronicles of Narnia.
